Down at the county fair…
So I hung out at the Trumbull County Fair every day this week. I’m “kinda” an advisor for a 4-H club, so I helped out a little and watched all of the events. As usual, the weather was absolutely horrible during the week. At one point, I had 3 layers on and a blanket and was still cold. It did warm up by the weekend though, Thank God!
I did several Generation Gap classes. On contest day, English day, and western day! Hannah and I got first place in English Equitation :)
I thought there were going to be fireworks on the 4th, but they were on the 5th. Chad came and hung out with me for a good part of the day, then we watched fireworks under a blanket by a tree. It was sweet, I didn’t expect anyone to come out and do that with me!
I made a list of fair food I wanted to eat at the beginning of the week. Here is what I ate. I like making bulleted lists, so here goes:
- Gyro (Greek, minus sour cream and onions)
- Hawaiian Shave Ice/Tropical Sno (Strawberry Daiquiri & Blue Raspberry)
- Fried Veggies (Unfortunately they were mostly onions)
- Milkshake from the Milk Bar (Half chocolate, half vanilla)
- Corn dog (slathered in ketchup, though not quite enough)
- Fries (Cold and hard, at the end of the night)
- Elephant ears I mooched off of people
PS, it’s pronounced “yee-ro”, not “jy-ro” !
